The United States Department of Justice on the Google Books Case
This is a document of which we should all be proud. The United States filed this objection to the Google Books settlement in September 2009, and in it the DOJ does a beautiful job articulating why the current settlement is problematic but why the Google project overall has important charms that the law should work to accommodate.
